In 2009, Almarai Company and PepsiCo announced the establishment of the International Dairy and Juice Projects Company Limited (ADG); This was followed by the acquisition of the International Agricultural Projects Company (Beyti), which specializes in the manufacture of dairy products, fruit juices and milk, known in Egypt. It continues to be produced under its brand name as one of ADG's subsidiaries.
In the same year, Almarai entered the poultry industry by acquiring Hail Agricultural Development Corporation for $253 million in cash and gaining market share.
