reboot MacBook Pro -
1. Find Terminal on your Launchpad and open it.
2. To restart Mac, type sudo shutdown -r now. If you want an instant restart, you can type now instead of + followed by the number of minutes, for example, sudo shutdown -r +10.
3. Press Enter.
4. Press Enter when you've entered your admin password (there won't be any letters on the screen).
Once you've entered your password, your Mac will shut down. Signing back in will take a few moments.
